dir. Hideaki Itsuno / prod. Hiroyuki Kobayashi - CAPCOM - Hack&Slash, Action-Adventure
Bingo Morihashi made a comback from DMC3 as the scenario writer for DMC4, and as a teen and then an adult, I loved what he did for the story. Many say that it was rushed [and it might be, but those are production problems, nothing you can do about those] but I find the story very compelling. Nero and Kyrie are adorable, and Dante testing the waters in a very Is-He?-Isn't-He? way is very entertaining to watch. I remember all the speculation regarding whether they were related or not when 4 came out...! Now I feel old, haha. If there's something I love from the special edition [sorry, I only own it digitally u_u] its that you can play as Trish and Lady...btw, love how dmc agency trio is breasting boobily it makes me laugh every single time. The only sad thing about 4 is that the international release doesn't have DRINK IT DOWN by L'Arc~en~Ciel, which is A HUGE DOWNGRADE!!!! Ah yeah, the battle choreos for the cutscenes are super over the top and just all around amazing. As the kids say: aura farming moments--or something like that. My brother is obsessed with this game, as it was his first DMC game ever... time flies...
