Pre 8.5 → Majima [possibly] likes Kiryu quite a lot, his S tendencies mellow out into more M tendencies as they lose contact in between each game.
8 → Peak resentment, honorary milestone.
Post 8.5 → Nii-san loves Kiryu-chan a lot, not even being amnesiac can stop his feelings... 100% soft on Kiryu-chan [which seemed totally impossible before]

OTE is a genuinely fun game to play even on hard… why did everyone hate on it u_u the substories are hilarious for the most part (while others have been really bittersweet) and the story itself is pretty standard for V-Cinema? And it has some really amazing sequences that hit that sweet direction from action V-Cinema. Visually, it’s really interesting too ! Like suuure it has the standard Kamurocho map, but considering there are areas blocked for each character and theres rubble fire blood etc everywhere it manages to feel super new :) AND the new areas are refreshing, i wish theyd used the kamuhills map on another game :( !
Battles with the prototypes are great as well, the very first one is obviously made in such a way that you lose sight of the prototype as its color scheme blends with the room, and just like you can get cover behind the pillars, the prototype can hide from your bullets using them as well when you lower its life too much, that’s a nice battle detail to me.
The models are really great too, they feel close enough to their 5 models while retaining their 3-4 blocky charm. Like, there’s no other game with the old engine that has that many full body emotes, plus the model’s eyes shift while they talk to npcs outside of pre-rendered cutscenes! Like Akiyama gets all *side-eyes* while Majima barely shifts his eye, but his facial expressions are super exaggerated i love it !!!!!!! Ryuji's idle animations are really great, I love when he starts using his phone or when he lights up a cigarette. It would've been amazing if his animation included a flame going off from one of his fingers (what?). Kiryu-chan looks cute as always, his blinking animations + looking around/ shifting eyes are sooooo sparkly...

Arase making tsundere-ish claims a la "after this is over ill kill you !" everytime he saves Kiryu from hitmen (instead of zombies... in the zombie spinoff) is making me giggle. I would never have guessed he was one of the possible partners for Kiryu, considering you fight him in two games... Date-san was a given but it feels a bit bad to leave him after exiting a dungeon lol... Good luck Date-san, you can make it back on your own ! ε=┌(;￣▽￣)┘*thumbs up* ....or something like that.
Kiryu being all happy and excited to finally see Date working as a detective was adorable.
Akiyama and Daigo-chan were so pitful in Kiryu's part of the story... they just wanted to spend some time with him but he gave them a MASSIVE cold shoulder ╥_╥ It even shows up in Akiyama's character profile... going from "kinda blue to depressed about parting ways"... To be fair to our [usually on accident] cruel Kiryu-chan, he had recently parted ways with Majimaの兄さん seemingly forever with the promise to eventually kill him as he was in the process of turning into a zombie... it's okay to be depressed Kiryu... Actually. I kinda hate that about Majima, one moment he's drinking his woes away all pitful and the next moment he's looking all cool while shooting a zombie! Completely unfair, can't even make fun of him!!
Well, his substory involving getting another boss into S&M gear [a gag-ball and hand-cuffs] was fun. It reminded me of his photograph mini-game in 8.5 gaiden, what's up with him subjugating men in substories? Top Majima hints scattered in the wind lol. He looked super cool during his intro cutscene...!

On another tangent, OTE is just the Ryuji route ending [if ykz were a visual novel.] Like the main antagonist, Tetsu, is still hung up on his former aniki [Ryuji] and gets all blind in seeking revenge in his stead. While Ryuji is living his life after banishment all peacefully, learning life lessons from the takoyaki vendor he came to respect... and Ryuji gets all defensive of Kiryu winning their final battle with honor and no tricks but the guy just can't accept it! It's all Kiryu Kazuma's fault, he must pay in order to restore aniki's honor and place at the Omi !! *unleashes zombie apocalypse* → this sounds like a fanfic setting.
Kiryu and Ryuji have no ill feelings towards each other, sure, Ryuji stopped adressing him with respect [no more "Kiryu-han"] but he doesn't act all haughty and petulant around Kiryu... he's grown a lot lol. And Kiryu gets all soft-spoken around Ryuji, he was a little shy with guilt when they first run into each other but then quickly start cooperating! the power of love !! ∠( ᐛ 」∠)_
Why are you two going into nii-san's penthouse at KamuHills together... right, to rescue Haruka-chan and end the zombie apocalypse! Ryuji's knight in a shining armor moment when keeping Haruka-chan safe was super cool :) definitely won favorable points *nods* Haruka had nothing slightly acidic to tell him when talking to her in the premium adventure ଘ(੭ˊᵕˋ)੭* ੈ✩‧₊˚
Majima got hit with the "I could make u some takoyaki :) but I'm sure Goda-san makes better takoyaki than me 0:) " ONE HIT KO
Akiyama got hit with the Hana-chan jabs|guilt-trips. ONE HIT KO

Some good-natured dialogs from Kiryu-chan I enjoyed:
Ryuji: やつは普通やないで、桐生 [TL: He's not normal, Kiryu.]
Kiryu: 普通じゃねえのはこっちも [TL: We aren't normal as well.]
Ryuji: *huffs a laugh* そやったわ... [TL: Heh. That's right...]

Ryuji: 偉そうに指図しおって･････ [TL: He acts all high and mighty, giving me orders...] → Kiryu told him to close the roller shutters as he kept the zombies at bay after Ryuji suggested closing them first LOL. Ryuji said it in the same tone he would talk to a pet...like in Ishin!

Kiryu: あんた、一人で行く気か!? [TL: You, are you planning to go alone?!] → Kiryu-chan panicked and froze when Majima took off on his own to stall zombies inside Kamurocho Hills, he even forgot to be polite to his nii-san, thanks Asagi-chan for reminding him that he could back him up by shooting at a range...!
Well, basically it's like, everyone loves Kiryu-chan but Kiryu loves Ryuji: The Game OF THE END. ❤好き❤
